For Quartz Shinsaibashi, a newly opened commercial complex in Osaka, we created a permanent audiovisual installation for its large-scale LED signage.
Inspired by quartz as a “memory medium of the Earth,” the work visualizes geological time through moving image, generative visuals, and sound. Visual artist Shane Lester, creative coder Junichi Akagawa, and composer Kuniyuki Takahashi collaborated to create a dynamic layer that resonates with the architecture.
