Shane Lester
Shane Lester is an independent art director, designer, video director, and digital artist. After completing his BFA in graphic design at Art Center, he joined Wieden+Kennedy’s Tokyo office to work on the experimental audio visual projects of W+K Tokyo Lab.
With the Lab Lester began an award-winning period of work that was widely exhibited internationally in festivals such as onedotzero, Resfest, and Pictoplasma. He has been the recipient of awards such as D+AD, Cannes Cyber Lion, and Japan Media Arts Festival, and was honored to be profiled by Apple Pro as part of W+K Tokyo Lab in 2006.
After the Lab, Lester began art directing for commercial clients including Google, PlayStation, Honda, Sony VAIO, Nike, and Hulu. Since establishing his own practice in 2013 he has created works for print and screen ranging from graphic design, UI, motion graphics, and commercial video direction for clients such as Red Bull Music Academy and JINS.
