Puma TVCM : King
- 2012
- Puma
JKD Collective produced these TV spots for the signature spike by Puma, KING, which has been loved by legendary footballers like Pelé and Maradona for over 40 years.
For the athletes, Kazuyoshi Miura, a.k.a. King Kazu, an inspirational pioneer of the Japanese soccer scene who is still playing at the age of 45 was featured, alongside Hiroki Yamada, who carries Jubilo Iwata’s traditional Number 10 from his first year. With the concept of “KING spike speaks,” on the feet of these two top athletes representing the old and new generation of footballers, a series of three films were produced, receiving a great reaction from the client and retailers.
The film is directed by Kosai Sekine, recently drawing worldwide attention for his outsized creativity. As narrator, we featured freestyle rapper Chinza Dopeness, winner of the Ultimate MC Battle of 2009, and standing at the top of Japan’s hip hop scene. The music is by HIFANA, known for their innovative live and visual performance. With kings of each genre–amazing athletes and artists–a remarkable work filled with entertainment and humor is born.
